Hey Tanner! Again, thank you for taking the time to document all of this. Much of your teaching has helped me a great deal!

Do you think it is too early in this project to begin importing batting lineups? Really, the more challenging issue I’m dealing with is when lineups are not out yet. I’d like to maybe import and organize projected lineups somehow. We could then use the projected lineups for evaluation purposes, until the actual lineups come out. Right now, my projected lineups are shoddy at best.

Please let me know if I need to clarify any of my statements above. Or if you feel any “leg work” is needed to accomplish the task, I’ll do it. Just let me know.

Hi Joe, thanks for commenting. Do you (or anyone else out there) have any site you rely upon for projected lineups? I am not aware of anyone doing “projected” lineups, but we may be able to pull in depth chart information.

For example, rosterresource.com has depth chart information for when teams play both RHP and LHP. So one might be able to pull in scheduled opposing pitcher, determine that pitcher’s handedness, then give you the likely lineup.

Does that sound like I’m on the right track?

I need a DK MLB CSV, since no games now, none avail on site, you have on lying about?

Hi Shawn, sorry. I do not. I’d like to think they’ll put the opening day salaries out pretty soon. We’re not that far off now!
